Deshaies, a botanical garden in Guadeloupe out of the ordinary
This place is a haven of peace. Far from the tumult of waves and civilization yet very close. This garden located on a cliff face faces the blue ocean and immutable. Besides, from the garden, Deshaies one almost thinks that the sea is serene and immobile.
This flooded place of endemic tropical plants covers about seven hectares. We stroll on a small landscaped path that winds through the hill. In turn, you can enjoy grandiose panoramas or green walls, a little like a traveller who would have ventured into a tropical forest. A small stream meanders through the plantations, bringing a little moisture and freshness to the most delicate or demanding plants.

This sanctuary is a first step to discover and understand the diversity of flora of the Caribbean – Caribbean – Amazon.
“Nature will surprise you.”

Concerning the hours of visits, this place is open every day from 9h to 17H30. It takes an average of two hours, and the idea is to go there in the morning to have lunch afterwards.
