Stopover in Copenhagen
Although Nyhavn is one of the most visited places in Copenhagen, we love the colorful houses and all the carefully moored white-hulled boats. And even though there are a lot of visitors like me, we still really like this city. And the more the hours go by, the more we can enjoy the little joys of Scandinavia. Especially when the city is so sunny.
However, discovering Denmark and the Danes in more depth, will take time. And you may have to start by getting away from the tourist places and the summer period and going to the same bars, cafés or restaurants for a while. How about living in Copenhagen for a few months? They say it’s the capital of happiness.
The beautiful thing about Copenhagen is that even in the city center, and even if it’s one of the biggest cities in Denmark, it is still clearly a liveable city.

Cycling, is of course an ideal way to discover the city
This city breathes happiness, the atmosphere is charming, and if like me you want to see the maximum of things in a minimum of time, the idea is to visit the city by bike. On the other hand, on the cycle tracks, you should not hang around. Remember to ride on the right side of the road to let the cyclists in a hurry pass by. If you turn right or left, extend your arm to inform those behind. When you want to stop, the same rate, you should wave your hand that you are going to stop. You can rent a bike in a shop or use the city’s self-service bikes. It would be a pity not to take advantage of them. Copenhagen, like Amsterdam, is a bicycle-friendly city.
Hygge” the Danish recipe for happiness
That word, “hygge” is a national banner. It’s a time to give yourself some time to yourself—time to enjoy life and take care of yourself and your body. You start by making yourself comfortable to drink herbal tea or eat fruit to take care of your body.
Southern Scandinavia
What is fascinating about Denmark is that we are entering Scandinavia. And yes, Denmark is one of the four countries that make up this vast region of northern Europe. And what is even more confusing is to walk around Copenhagen in the summer and get warm. Very hot. In just three months the temperatures will be harmful, and night will fall from 4 p.m. For Swedes, Finns, and Norwegians, Denmark is a kind of land of plenty. Indeed Copenhagen is the most “southern” country in Scandinavia. A country that is famous all over the world for its quality of life and the joy of life of its inhabitants.
