If you want to study in Australia for more than three months, you need a student visa. It allows you to stay in Australia during your studies and to come in and out of the country as many times as you like. To work in Australia, you can apply for a PVT (also called Working Holiday Visa). It gives the opportunity to live and work in the country for up to 12 months. To settle in Australia for a long time and become a permanent resident, there are three visas. The first one is the permanent family visa, the second one permanent work visa, and the last one is the permanent commercial visa.
